Owned and operated by Kim Wheeling, JewelryRings.com has been on the Internet since 1998. Kim started making jewelry in the late 1960's. In college in the early '70's to study for a degree in physics, his interest in jewelry never flagged. When receiving his degree and leaving the university, Kim continued with jewelry as an occupation.
In 1980, with gold prices climbing high, many people began selling their old gold jewelry. Kim started restoring, recycling, and collecting antique pieces to save them from being melted by metal refiners. In recent years, because of the shortage of antiques, he began to make reproductions, many of which are from his personal collections. Kim believes that, in a sense, antique reproduction is a continuation of the preservation process.
