Natural Tanzanite 3442

Genuine natural Tanzanite mined in Tanzania and cut in Jaipur India by expert tanzanite cutters. Natural rough tanzanite is almost always found in an earth tone brown/yellow/green color. In order to achieve the vibrant blue purple color it must be heat treated. Dark toned tanzanite is no longer being mined and most tanzanite is light to medium tone. Tanzanite is an unusual stone with 3 different possible axes of color. Some tanzanite only shows one axis of color, for example blue. Most tanzanite shows 2 axes of color, blue and purple. Some tanzanite will show 3 axes which might include blue, purple, and green.
